School Support & Advocacy for Gifted and Twice-Exceptional Learners
Working Together to Support Your Child at School
Choosing a school is one of the most significant educational decisions a family will make. Whether your child is gifted, twice-exceptional, or simply seeking greater academic challenge within a supportive environment, finding the right educational setting is about much more than reputation or academic results.
Drawing on extensive experience working within and alongside government, Catholic and independent schools across Victoria, Flow Education provides independent guidance to help families make informed decisions.
We look at the whole child, and understand that the best-fit school is one where your child feels challenged, supported, and able to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. balancing challenge, support, wellbeing and co-curricular opportunities. Each school's culture and educational approach is considered to identify the environment that best aligns with your child's strengths, needs and potential.
Whether your child isn't thriving in their current school, or you're exploring the best options for the future, we're here to help you find the right fit.
School Advocacy
Navigating the school system can feel complex and overwhelming. We empower families to understand the support available to their child, prepare for school meetings, communicate effectively with schools, and advocate confidently for appropriate educational support. Through a collaborative approach, we help families build positive partnerships with schools while ensuring their child's learning needs are understood and appropriately supported.
Individual Learning Plans
A well-designed Individual Learning Plan (ILP) provides a clear roadmap for supporting your child's learning at school. We develop personalised, strengths-based ILPs that reflect your child's unique learning profile, translating assessment findings into practical classroom strategies and recommendations for differentiation, extension, enrichment and appropriate adjustments that schools can confidently implement.
School Observation
Through a school observation, we help families better understand their child's experience in the classroom. By observing your child in their everyday learning environment, we gain valuable insight into their engagement, learning behaviours and interactions. We then provide practical, evidence-informed recommendations and work collaboratively with you and your child's school to develop realistic strategies that support learning, wellbeing and engagement.
We were overwhelmed by the number of school options and unsure where to start. Hayley's knowledge of Victorian schools was invaluable. She helped us look beyond reputation and find the right fit for our gifted daughter.
